Dear Members and Friends,
This is the time of year when we pause for true, quiet reflection on what Palomar Unitarian Universalist Fellowship means to each of us, and we consider how we—individually and as families—will support the fellowship financially in the coming year.
This year’s pledge theme is Find Your People. The times we are living in are trying, distracting, and, often, overwhelming. Many of us are carrying quiet worry. Many of us are simply tired. Maybe anxious. The noise of the world is constant, and it can feel hard to know where to rest our hearts, because we can feel untethered. In moments like these, having a place where we are known and welcomed is not a luxury—it is a lifeline. And that is why we need our people more than ever.
So when you think about PUUF, who comes to mind? What faces? What hugs? What conversations that lingered after service? What moments when you felt seen, steadied, or understood? If you let yourself sit with it for just a moment, you may feel it — the gratitude, the small smile, the memory of being known. It’s the people that make it Palomar Fellowship.
What the world has witnessed in Minneapolis—and the organizing and loving presence of those holding that community together—reminds us how strong, connected communities of love and radical, relentless care truly are essential. At PUUF, in the round, unbroken circle of our sanctuary—our spiritual home—we are known by name. We share joys and sorrows. We show up for one another. And in a world that can feel fractured and loud, this steady, covenantal community is no small thing.
This is the time to invest as generously as we are able so that we can continue this shared work: caring for one another, tending our beautiful building and grounds, and showing up for the wider community when it matters most. Our financial pledges are not just numbers on a page. They are how we keep the lights on for one another. They are how we sustain the circle. They are one way we say: I’m here. I belong. I will help hold this.
As you reflect on our interconnectedness and the bonds that weave this community together, remember that we are the people we need right now. Our mutual investments this year will strengthen our resilience, deepen our connection, and help us continue to support and protect this beautiful community.
In a culture where chosen family matters deeply, we are grateful to have found you—our people.
In Gratitude and Hope,
Your 2026-2027 Pledge Team:
